The parish of St. Peter is home to Speightstown, which features an array of of historic buildings amongst which many fruit and vegetable vendors set up stalls during the day, is approximately 2 minutes walk away. This town also offers a good selection of amenities including cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, a museum and a supermarket. In addition, the infamous Port St. Charles beach is just moments away.
St. Peter is also home to Farley Hill which offers astounding scenic views and is set on the grounds of the once magnficent Farley Hill house. Although Farley Hill house in now in ruins, it is hidden by a dense set of mature mahogany trees alowing the grounds to offer a great spot for picnicing high up on its hill, which overlooks the Atlantic coast. Farley Hill is also used to host an array of musical and theatrical events several times a year, such as The Barbados Jazz Festival.
